Abstract:
The absence of a Strong First-Order Electroweak Phase Transition (SFOEWPT) in the Standard Model necessitates the search for physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM) to realize electroweak baryogenesis. This seminar presents a detailed investigation of the EWPT within the inverted Type-I Two-Higgs-Doublet Model (2HDM), where the observed 125 GeV Higgs boson is identified as the heavier CP-even scalar H.

We performed a comprehensive scan of the parameter space, fully consistent with all theoretical and experimental constraints, to identify viable regions supporting an SFOEWPT, explicitly including multi-step transitions. We found both two-step and three-step SFOEWPTs. We calculated the strength of the SFOEWPT and the resulting Signal-to-Noise Ratios (SNR) for Gravitational Waves (GW) at LISA. Furthermore, we studied the collider phenomenology of these SFOEWPT parameter sets, identifying promising discovery channels at the 1.5 TeV CLIC.
