Abstract:
Quantum computing has progressed rapidly in recent years, moving from proof-of-concept demonstrations toward early-stage integration with modern machine learning workflows. In this talk, I will survey recent advances in quantum computing and quantum artificial intelligence (Quantum AI), with a particular focus on how hybrid quantum–classical models are reshaping our understanding of efficiency, expressivity, and scalability in learning systems. Building on this context, the talk explores emerging directions in quantum machine learning that emphasize the scalable learning of classically hard quantum circuits, quantum-enhanced representation learning, and single-shot inference paradigms. Together, these developments reinterpret quantum circuits not as standalone models, but as structured, physics-inspired components within larger learning systems.
