11/5 12:30 Pei-Ming Ho ( NTU & NCTS) Comments on Hawking Radiation (R521, 5F, General Building II, Nat'l Tsing Hua Univ.)
******** CTCD/NTHU HEP Seminar ********
Speaker : Prof. Pei-Ming Ho ( NTU & NCTS)
Title : Comments on Hawking Radiation
Time :12:30-13:30, Thursday, 2026/11/5
Place :R521, 5F, General Building II, Nat'l Tsing Hua Univ.
Host : Prof. Kingman Cheung (NTHU) & Prof. Norihiro Iizuka (NTHU)
Abstract:
Despite the trans-Planckian problem, Hawking radiation is generally viewed as robust. We review the arguments for its robustness and comment on the necessary UV physics for significant deviations.
